The Dr. Seuss Magic Show
With a tribute to Dr. Seuss!
Tommy's most in-demand school assembly program is high-energy, full of surprises and choreographed perfectly for the K-5 audience.
This performance will educate students about the wonderful world of reading books and also highlight the life and works of one of the most prolific children's authors of the 20th century, Dr. Seuss.
Students are GUARANTEED to be totally captivated during this 45 minute performance with inspirations from the iconic author.
Thing 1 and Thing 2 will prove to everyone that seeing can be deceiving!
Explored are the valuable resources a library has to offer and that books are the windows to the wide world around us.
Aesop's tale of the Tortoise and the Hare is brought to life utilizing two student helpers on stage.
A small model library is on stage and continuously shown empty throughout the show. The performance ends with the magical appearance of a real live bunny inside the library! (Bunnies like to read too!).
The student body will be asked to stand and take the “Readers Oath” to read each and every day.
All in all the children will learn that reading can be fun, educational and relaxing all at the same time.
Tommy provides a professional backdrop and his own sound system with music and sound effects choreographed throughout the program.
New and refreshing! You WILL NOT be disappointed!
"Hi Tommy! Thank you so much for your wonderful performance today at Scott School. You did a great job engaging and entertaining all the children and adults. On the way out, our Kindergarten teacher said it was the best cultural arts program we've ever had at the school in her many years there. As PTA President, this is important feedback for me. Our funds are limited and we must choose our programming wisely. Thank you so very much for providing a wonderful kick off to our reading week festivities. We look forward to having you back again soon."

"Tommy, I just wanted to tell you how much I enjoyed the assembly today. It wasn't till after that I realized how much we all needed a good laugh. The kids were rolling on the floor and still talking about the show the next day. Thanks for a great afternoon."

“As a parent, I was so grateful for a positive reading message along with a quality, energetic performance. Mr. James truly has a craft to reach all members of his audience. His message is clear yet communicated very nicely. The performance is more than just listening, it is audience involved and attention getting from beginning to end. Tommy's program is enriching and a great reminder of how important reading is in everyone's life.”

“I thought Tommy's performance was awesome. The presentation was meant for all members of the audience (Including the adults!). He really kept the children's attention the entire time. I got such enjoyment watching my students expressions. They kept moving closer and closer, jumping up and down, smiles from ear to ear. His message came through loud and clear and in a language and style that reached the children.”
